We've won Best Bee Produce Cafe and Shop of the year!

The House of Honey are thrilled to announce our latest award win: The ‘Best Bee Produce Shop and Café of the Year Award’ in the LUXlife Hospitality Awards 2023.

Having recently revealed our finalist position in two categories within the highly prestigious Western Australia’s Perth Airport Tourism awards – this latest win signifies an incredibly successful year at the House of Honey.

Recognising excellence in the hospitality industry across the globe, LUXlife notes that their awards are only delivered to ‘the best of the best’ – and we are proud to wear this badge. Our mission as a business has always been to not only offer the finest West Australian produce but deliver the best visitor experience that includes a real education about bees and honey. Our recognition by this award confirms that we are doing just that!

From our beginnings as a simple shed in the Swan Valley stocked with just a handful of honeys, it is the genuine and relentless passion for beekeeping by owners Rupert and Kim that have ignited our success. Today, the business has evolved into an award-winning Shop, Meadery and Sticky Spoon Cafe, with a successful international export portfolio to match. But even throughout their growth – with an impressive raw honey collection now upward of twenty varieties – their commitment to sustainable beekeeping and protecting the Western Australian bush very much remains.

Upon receiving the award, Rupert and Kim had to say:

“Being recognized by such a prestigious international hospitality award is a real credit to all the hard work that has been put in over the past thirteen years that has got the House of Honey to where it is today. We couldn’t be prouder of our business and where we are now, but very much have our sights set for the future. We strive to continue educating our visitors, expanding our export business, and remain dedicated to delivering the best Western Australia raw honeys to our customers.”

We proudly offer unique experience to all our visitors. With an observation hive, honey tasting station, Sticky Spoon Café and meadery (the only one in the Metro Perth area), we welcome both locals and tourists from all over the globe. Our prized Jarrah honey – applauded for its excellent health benefits – and calendar of educational events are amongst many of the reasons people choose us for a day out in the Swan Valley. Just some of the events scheduled for Spring 2023 include: Bee Farm Tour Beekeeping 101, Beeswax Candle Making and Mead, Setting Up a Beehive, and 1-on1 with a Beekeeper.
