The House of Honey are ecstatic to announce our finalist position at the most prestigious tourism awards in Western Australia.

As previous 2021 winners within the Business Categories award, it is a tremendous feat to be nominated once again, and we are proud to be sharing the spotlight amongst other fantastic local businesses that are helping attract and support tourism in the area.

Shortlisted for ‘Excellence in Food Tourism’ and ‘Tourism Retail and Hire’, the awards recognise and celebrate businesses for their excellence, individualism, and professionalism, and for being true ambassadors for their local area. With our heart and mission firmly routed in protecting local bees, sustainably sourcing the finest West Australian honey, and educating our visitors on all things apiculture, we are delighted that our passion has helped us reach this final position.

Western Australia is increasingly being acknowledged as one of the best places in the world for beekeeping and harvesting honey. With significantly low rates of bee disease as well as honeys that contain some of the world’s highest activity levels (such as our prized Jarrah Honey), international markets are developing a real taste for this Western Australia produce. There’s even a growing hunger amongst visitors to find out more about beekeeping, hives, honey varietals and how to get started in the industry, which here at the House of Honey we address through numerous educational events, including: One on One with a Beekeeper, Bee Farm Tour: Beekeeping 101, Beeswax Candle Making and Mead Evening and Setting up a Beehive.
